I cried through that whole video, because somehow I knew how it would end. Truly touching and sad. Brave parents indeed, knowing too what the outcome would be, they embraced every moment they could with their son. God bless them all.

That was a hell of a post Rodney. I would have cried for years too. Where did you lose your daughter, if I may ask?

I agree with you regarding the rest of your comment as well.

I agree with anna, I still recall times at that age. I had friends years ago that had three "cot deaths" of their babies. The fourth was a regular one. Let's hope he was able to pick up a better body the next time around. I recall two years ago a report that in China, in a 3 month period in one province 260,000 abortions were performed on girls under 15. So there's no shortage of bodies being made. It;s an interesting phenomena that when the right to life is threatened how people produce an oversupply of babies. There's an estimated 200 million Chinese that do not appear on the books as they were snuck in. They one child policy in China is a business, you can have as many as you like so long as you pay. Riots often occur as result of the increases in the "baby bribe". If you are a farmer it costs about USD$1,000 but the more income you have the cost goes up. I met a couple who paid about $6,000 to have a second. I met, also, a couple that had 12, they didn't pay anything, they refused. I lost access to my daughter when she 1 1/2 and my son when he was 4. I cried for years. Eventually I was reunited with my son and raised him, alone, through his teenage years. I never saw my daughter again. I am afraid to have any more children. Next time I'm going to be a woman.

It made me cry. But I can't really blame him. I think I would have done the same thing if I were Elliot, and since he is such a survivor I highly suspect that he has found something much better now. I just don't think it would have been fair to him to have to live his life in a crippled body so I don't think its really a sad ending.

Hi Holly,
Recently we've experienced some big problems in our work in Mexico. It's always good to see a video like this one to remind us that there is always someone who is experiencing an even BIGGER problem than us.

Thanks,
Greg

Wow, that was incredibly touching Holly. It really expresses how much we can take life for granted and how important the people in our lives really are.

Such a short life can mean so much. Although a short life, Elliot was certainly a little miracle, and a fighter.

I appreciate the you remind us of these things every now and then Holly. It always makes me think...and realize how amazing life really is.

Thank you
Davin

Thank you for posting that video Holly- it is very sobering and touching. The mom and dad are amazing people in the way they celebrated his 99 miraculous days of life. For me, as a parent, it makes me all the more thankful. My daughter was born 2.5 months premature and was in the hospital through her first Thanksgiving. She was finally released on Dec. 20 that year and was still tiny enough to be brought home in a small stocking:)

Since she was in the NICU while in the hospital I saw A LOT of babies that were both premature or were very ill - some terminally. I stayed at the Ronald McDonald House some of the time she was in the hospital. There was a journal in the room I was in that all the parents had written in while staying there. In it there were stories that included both miracles and disappointments. But the thing I remember the most is that no matter the severity of the illness every one was so thankful to God to have been able to have spent time with their child, even if it meant saying goodbye.
