Interesting Reflections of this week in Thailand:
Two days ago I saw an extremely large elephant on the back of a truck that was driving in front of me. It was a surprise to me as I have never seen that in Chiang Mai before. Then yesterday, my mom called me and she was very distraught and shaken up. She was at her home (she's renting a house for about $120 USD per month about 20 kms from where I live) and heard a loud crack and crashing noise. At the time she heard the noise, she was outside on her porch with her husband chatting. Turns out her entire living room ceiling collapsed and fell all over the floor. The place was covered with debris and dust. People came over to fix it today but they forgot to rewire the electrical lines and now they have no electricity there. My mom also contacted the landlord to have someone clean up the mess but the landlord would not assist. People came over and picked up the large pieces but that was it! Pretty scary ordeal and thankfully they were outside during the crash!
A few days ago I also saw the funniest thing I have EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE. I saw a very large Golden Retriever dog sitting like a human being on a motorcycle with a man sitting behind the dog. The dog had his paws on the handlebars in between where the breaks and clutch are and the dog was also wearing sunglasses. The dog's butt was on the seat and he was sitting upright!!!!! It was something you'd have to see to believe. I saw this guy and his dog ONE other time but it was over a year ago and I wished I had my camera with me. I tried to pull it out this time but couldn't because the dog and the guy drove by so quickly.

Hi Holly
I hope Your Mom is safe with no harrasment now.
But what I think that there are too many problems you/your family facing in Thailand, now my urge to you Come to India and see the unity in diversity and also the natural beauty.
Josh might have been happy to see the Elephant and Dog.
