Get Out of Your Comfort Zone, Opportunity Here

Posted on 24. Aug, 2009 by Holly in Blunt Honesty, Make Money

If there is one thing I have learned is that very little happens in our comfort zone. Learn to stay out of it. Remember, there will be plenty of safety once you are six feet under the ground. By then it is too late. – Joel Therien

When was the last time you remember really stepping out of your comfort zone? The last time I did was a couple months ago, for a phone interview I had with Entrepreneur Magazine online. Many people would not be nervous to do a phone interview. But, I used to be a journalist and I like to ask all the questions. I always feel anxiety before and interview, and then nervous until we chat for five minutes, and then feel more at ease by the time the interview is almost over (which by then it’s too late). :) I’m joking. But, that’s just my personality and I know that the more interviews I do, the more comfortable I am. The more I open myself up to the opportunities arising, the more my life changes in positive ways. The most incredible times I’ve had in my life, were outside of my comfort zone. The best experience I ever had, as crazy as it sounds, was working in Iraq 6 months after the war started. It was scary, it was extremely physically-demanding work, but all I can think about when looking back are the experiences I had with the local Iraqi people. Our friendship made the time there unforgettable. Even if I generally felt at ease while there, I looked completely out of place and was definitely outside of my comfort zone.

Joel’s Income Opportunity

I read the words of Joel Therien today on his blog, and was really drawn in by them. I like to hear inspirational quotes, and that was one I had never heard before. I wanted to share it with you, and I also wanted to share an income opportunity I’ve recently discovered, which was created by Joel.

Before I tell you about this opportunity, I want to tell you that this is in a pre-launch phase and if you sign-up, you will be one of the very first to do so. Kiosk is a popular hosting company that is going to soon relaunch under the new name and brand “GVO.” My good friend Davin told me about this opportunity, and at first I was not interested as I already have a hosting company. I joined because I wanted to see their services and see how profitable this could be. It’s not just a hosting company, it’s a viral money-making opportunity as well. And it’s only $1 to signup and secure a spot.

So what is this?

It’s a website hosting company designed for internet marketers. It’s also a network marketing opportunity bundled in with your regular account. So if you want to spread the word about your positive experience with this company, you could do so and majorly profit from it.

First, a little about the hosting account you would get: unlimited domains and websites can be hosted on your account, you have a built-in professional autoresponder that you manage from your account area (useful as so many people need this), web builders, Cpanel, Fantastico (one-click install of Wordpress and other popular platforms), free conference room included for those who may want to use it in their business, and an easy video producing software (to name just a few). This hosting company’s services are designed specifically for Internet Marketers – giving you the tools you need as an IM to succeed and make your work easier. They also have tutorials and videos to teach you how to use everything.

I’ll Also Personally Make You a Website

After reading the comments and receiving questions about the program, I decided to throw in something big to help you succeed with this, if you decide to use this webhost and signup under me. So, for anyone who does signup with me here – I will also create a website for you through your GVO account. I’ll make you a wordpress site and if needed, design you a logo too. It’s an even better incentive to give it a chance – and a good opportunity if you needed a website but weren’t sure how to make one. I will make sure it has all the newest plugins, software and functionality. If you don’t know how to use Wordpress, I will also give you my guide “Wordpress and Beyond.” I haven’t made it for sale to the public yet..but that’s alright. So with all of those incentives, if you are interested, join – just send me a message once you have a domain and I’ll make your site. With this program, it’s important that we work together to help each other succeed – with using the host to create your online presence, and also to spread the word about the service, to increase your income while building your online business.

Let’s Be Real

So I will be real with you here, as I know network marketing has a bad name and I would not promote something that would do you harm. I have only been a part of one single network marketing program before in my life. It focused so much on the opportunity and not the product. This differs greatly because you do the same thing you would when promoting any other affiliate program – but, you need to use the service yourself. The other difference is that the money-making potential is huge – especially right now as you would be one of the first people to signup. So, like I said, I am not experienced in network marketing but I do know affiliate marketing and an opportunity when I see one.

I signed up under Davin with the sole purpose of seeing how profitable this could be and giving it a chance – as it is only $1 to secure your spot for the first 14 days. When I joined, I figured if I didn’t like the service and program I would cancel before the 14 days are up. But, I am really happy with the hosting services they have, and I am checking into having all my accounts moved onto GVO. After the first 14 days are up, you would need to pay for the service at $44.95 a month. It’s a good price considering you have a massive amount of space for an unlimited number of sites, and most likely it will pay for itself. It has a 2 x 10 matrix system, and you can get paid even if you are not promoting it at all. I know that is confusing! For example, I signed up under Davin one day ago. I received several notifications that I had received signups under me. I had not yet promoted this at all to anyone. So, Davin’s promotions paid off for me and once he reached a certain number of signups (which he did), the spillover from that went onto my account. So Davin created for me an income and I just signed up a day ago. So, if you need a web host, and you are looking for a long-term money-making opportunity, I think now is the time to jump on this. You can always cancel if you need to. Also, if you join through me, and you are using the hosting to setup your website, you can ask me any questions along the way. From the way the system works, you would also profit from the work I do, if you signup under me.

If interested, signup for GVO for $1 Here.

I will keep you guys posted on this. I can be your “guinea pig” here and I will let you know how it is working and how much money I am making. If you signup now, I think it is most profitable since we are the “top” of this as I was invited to be a part of it in the pre-launch.

I’ve known Kiosk since GDI [.ws] came on the scene.I built my first amateur website using GDI but couldn’t afford anything other than free hosting at the time.Had I known as much about blogging and IM as I do now I would have signed up with Kiosk then. For your assurance, I haven’t heard one bad comment about Kiosk in those 2 or 3 years of intensive IM study. Now to make use of that knowledge and use Kiosk I would need to find another niche for a new blog or web site.Duplicating what I have now would not be wise with so much competition already.Besides that the hosting company I am using already gives me unlimited space and unlimited bandwidth and excellent support even under their basic package.Of course the compensation package that Kiosk/GVO is offering is very, very good. For anyone reading this, sign up under Holly .
The only reason I am hesitating is for a real lack of funds for the next 4 to 6 weeks.

Hi Bill – thank you very much for that input and comment. It is reassuring for me as well, to know what a good hosting company this is. I may switch over all my accounts, with GVO’s support in doing so, because the plan I have with my current company is a little pricey (for a dedicated server) and I am not using as much space as I once was. I could downgrade. I really think most marketers would appreciate the tools and additional features this company has -with professional autoresponders being a big one (normally that alone costs about $20 or 30 a month). Thank you for letting us know about your experiences with them – and I will check on the comment issue! Take care.

  6. Great post Holly!

Wow, can I ever relate to your story about being nervous when being interviewed. I remember my first interview I ever did for Dan Kennedy’s Future Of Information Marketing series.

I was so nervous I could hardly get any words out! It had been years since I’d done an interview, and this was my first for Internet Marketing.

I hope in time, they do get easier…

As for the opportunity. Yes, it is an incredible opportunity, especially right now being able to get in at the top.

The thing I like about GVO is they are completely committed to the needs of Internet Marketers. They aren’t going to wipe out your sites and accounts if for some reason we may get a spam complaint, which as we know can happen in this business. They are marketers themselves, so they really understand our needs.

With their track record of hosting some of the world’s top marketers like Mike Filsaime, Stephen Pierce, Michael Cheney and may others..I’m very confident they will meet our needs just fine.

    Thanx for the post Holly…

Here’s to staying out of our comfort zones!

Ok Davin for this time I know I can write / speak from a position of strength. I am the new vice president of membership for a local Toastmasters Club. Yes speaking nd interviews can kick your gut and take away your words when you have not been “at the podium” too much.. The best wa to overcome fears is attack them. Seek out a local Toastmasters club and become active in giving speeches there in a group that wants you to succeed and get better. you are even allowed to give practice speeches there that you will give somewhere else. The club helps you with timing, body motion, keeping audience attention. check it out and tell me what you find that helps you.

You and Holly are incredible and I am so very happy to be able to offer something back, Thank you

PS my website is one that I followed Holly on in getting it up and running for niche promotion. Following lots of your information to get better

On my Wedding Day I had to make a speech and boy did I stumble and hum and hah.Years later I was voted in as a union steward because I could talk to anyone ,wheter a fellow employee or middle or upper management.Yet my greatest strength is in listening first and then choosing my words.
I still fail at that in my personal comfort zone at home with family ,sometimes, but constantly keep trying.I guess that is why I have always done well in years gone bye ,in job interviews. However ,ask me anything about the internet and I;ll answer but if I knew it were an interview for broadcasting or publishing I certainly wouldn’t feel relaxed.

I should have added that I know that little happens out of our own comfort zone .Most people rely on that.In my case I am a very relaxed driver even in heavy traffic like Chicago,Montreal, and Toronto but I needed to be that waywhen I drove 18 wheelers for 18 years.Heck,I drove Propane tankers for 5½ years–you ‘gotta ‘be relaxed.
I was out of my comfort zone figuring out how to build a website using html instead of WYSIWYGbecause I wanted certain features and am still revising things I messed up a little. Then I’ll make it load faster[got it figured out but takes time].
Today I redesigned most of my blog afraid to crash it like it happened 3x before.Next I’ll tackle the default headers without damaging that fragile css for the theme.
I need more original content authored by me but competition for my niche is high so my comfort zone is instead in the self embarrassment peak.

Hi Bill. Unlike you, I am not a relaxed driver in heavy traffic. I get pretty tense! And about the html and website design stuff – that can make anyone tense. It is always a new experience for me, learning how to change and edit things. I have destroyed a few sites myself by not saving a backup file on the file I was editing. Definitely need to be careful there – and I learned my lesson. If you need help with any of that stuff just ask. :) And if you get stuck on having original content, you can always use some stuff from ezinearticles and also you could hire someone to write a few articles. I am doing this now – it is usually about $5-10 an article.

    Hi Holly
    A great and interesting post.
I am just at the process of finalizing two web sites and trying to also finish my eBook.
I have been watching this program from it was first publicised on line and it looks very interesting.I certainly am interested.

I have a few “silly” (maybe) questions:
    1. Does the Autoresponder cover more than one web site or is a seperate one required for each site?
    2. Will you still be in a position to offer your “free web site” offer.
    Look forward to your answers.

As far as being out of your comfort zone…this has happened to me many times and I look at it as a learning curve.
Back in Ireland when I was a Sales and Contracts Manager for a large Specialist Construction Company, who designed and supplied systems to “invisably” mend historical buildings, I was responsible for holding Information Seminars for Architects and Structural Engineers. Not being of either profession myself, I always had to expect the Smart Ass from the audience asking me a technical question to make me look stupid. Not once did they succeed, because although I was neither an Architect nor an Engineer, I did know my system inside out from a technical point of view. Having worked with one of the top Structural Engineers (who used to be an Architect), I learned a lot from him and in fact was able to design most of my systems myself.
I always waited nervously for that first Smart Ass to ask his question, and before I would answer him, I would state: “I know how to do your job, but you don’t know how to do mine…now to answer your question….”. I would then proceed to answer using my own technical knowledge, which he had no clue about. This resulted in no further questions and leaving that Smart Ass with a very red face…

After over 40 years in Sales, I look forward to getting to Hell out of that comfort zone and try and make a difference. It is what makes life exciting.

    Looking forward to hearing results.

    Cheers
    Tom

    Hi Tom,
Those are excellent questions. I just logged into the autoresponder area to check on this. Their software is called “Supersponder.” So, it turns out you can use them on as many sites as you like. Now I will try to find out if you can only use them on sites hosted with your account or if it would work on any site (even ones hosted elsewhere). Besides that, I was actually in the process of changing the free website service I am offering. I kind of need to take on personal requests (not every single one that went through the form on my free website page) because I had a lot of people abusing this service. Otherwise I may also offer deeply-discounted prices on website design and graphic design services.I really enjoy doing it all – but the service I had before isn’t working so well now.

About the other stuff in your comment, WOW! That takes guts to say that to the guy in the audience! And I love that you are ready to step out of your comfort zone and make a a difference – that is awesome! I feel the same way. The more I do this work online, the more people I interact with and the more inspired I am to do just that…life is too short!

And if Nevada had a lottery I would buy a ticket. Too bad they don’t! Good luck and I hope you win!

Got to love that Irish Tom .you are an inspiration.
To respond to your comment to me above,97% of the articles in my blog can be considered unique and not duplicated.Whether they are entirely original depend on the author I gave credit to for any article or post.I was given full publishing rights to each article that is on my blog including those I wrote or The5sisters wrote.Via a glitch, some articles list the author but also list me as an author above it.I’m working to correct those misleading posts.
Regarding your design talents.I find it appalling that people abuse your generosity.Since my knowledge of css is minimal other than being able to read and understand the components I was contemplating converting my next website into a blog format. It wouldn’t be anything like my current web site format with all it’s complexities of frames and tables.Blog css is so much neater.
Besides ,if I get too comfortable with html I will have to learn more about xmls and php to stay in the excited zone.Challenge keeps the mind alive and freedom at leisure times is the goal.

    Hi Holly,

It is great to hear your opinion on GVO, I had been introduced to it several times and after being in network marketing for 13 years , lets just say I was leary.

I know you wouldn’t recommend something if you did not truly believe in it so I am going to take a closer look. Do you know when the 1 dollar ends?

@ Irish Tom I hope you win:)

Hey Jenny. I completely understand your feelings and I have some big fears as well – surrounding anything that is MLM or network marketing related. A couple things have made me open myself up to it. 1 is that I trust Davin. Another is that I love how it is a hosting company that really caters to internet marketers – so rather than buying autoresponders somewhere, and software to build your site somewhere else, and hosting, etc. it is all in one spot.

The other thing that peaked my curiosity was a person I met at a marketing conference in Singapore a couple years ago (I’m still friends with him). He is younger than I am, in his early 20’s and he’s a millionaire. He is a network marketer, a moral guy (not into anything illegal), and he got into one of his opportunities FIRST. He got in right when it started or right before, and I think that is a big part of his success with it. His situation inspired me to give this a chance – to see that it could be very profitable. I generally promote Bluehost to others, as their service is good and it’s just what most people need when creating a site. But since I heard about GVO, besides promoting for the financial gain, it really seems to have way more to offer an internet marketer than the average web host.

Ok Jenny – sorry I am really rambling on here. About your question that took so long for me to get to here, the $1 trial ends after two weeks. So, if you try it and want to cancel, that is ok.

Looks like Tom didn’t win the Lottery last night. Next draw on Friday will be $325 million.

I don’t usually play the Lottery simply because too many people put way too much hope in it. But just for fun, a dollar or two never hurts.

It reminds me of a old (maybe bad) joke.

    =======

A man prays: “Lord, lord please let me win the lotttery!”

The day comes and he doesn’t win.

Again the man prays: “Lord, PLEASE let me win the lottery!”

    Again, he doesn’t win.

Again he prays: “Lord, Why won’t you let me win the lottery?”

Finally the Lord replies: “It would help if you’d buy a ticket.”

    =============

    Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

    Back to topic.

I signed up for GVO as soon as I saw Holly’s post on Facebook. I’ll have to admit I was motivated by greed, that thought of a free downline made me just jump and sign up a.s.a.p. I figured for $1, I could take a few days to look it over and figure out if it seemed right.

I’ve made a commitment that I don’t invest in a program or course unless I’m willing to take action and put it to use. It’s a good commitment because I need to run everything by the realistic review of whether I’m willing to put in the time and work.

Concerning GVO, I’ll look it over. I’ll need to justify the monthly fee over something like BlueHost. But lately I’ve been looking over that fence of “It’s time to do a bit more.”

It would definitely be out of my comfort zone, to take on greater commitment, but one of the real ways we grow, isn’t it?

Continuing to hone that laser focus . . . Onward and upward.

Thanks for sharing this Garry. I used the hosting service yesterday and created a website already. They have cpanel and fantastico – so it was easy to install Wordpress. I just wanted to let you know if you have any questions about the profit-potential or the program please ask. It was confusing to me until I asked Davin a bunch of questions and he asked his friend who created the program. So, it now makes sense – so if you have questions just let me know. I hope we all have success with it! I know it will be officially announced sometime in September.

    Holly,

I don’t know how much of this you want to do via comments, but here is what I noticed.

    1. I posted a message after the “joke” and it vanished when I clicked the “Leave comment” button.

    2. I left another saying the first one vanished, but it too vanished. I wondered if it had something to do with leaving additional message too quickly. So I thought I’d wait and check later.

    3. When I came back about 15 minutes later, my messages where still absent. When I posted the message “I’m going to verify . . . ” Suddenly they ALL appeared.

This is where it get weird.

    4. I submitted the message “And suddenly, there they all are.” And all my messages, except the original joke . . . vanished again!

I wondered if it was a cache issue on my browser (Safari), so I cleared the cache and they were still gone. I switched to a different browser (FireFox) and could see all the messages. Now I’m back a few hours later, with Safari and everything is here.

Don’t know what Bill V uses, but it MAY have something to do with caching and the browser.

If I can help straighten it out a bit by testing posts, etc, just let me know. Otherwise I’ll just leave it to you from here.

    Hi Holly
Thanks for your comments ref the GVO services.
I was more interested to know if I sign up and, for example, add a few extra sites, does the one Autoresponder service all web sites?

As for free web service, sorry you had problems. When I am ready, I will contact you for some help.

    NAW…DIDN’T WIN THE LOTTERY..SURE I’M STILL ON LINE…LOL..

Garry, every time I post a comment, it does not come up immediately, so I just leave it and it eventually appears.
Of course, I have a few Irish Leprachauns in the system helping me out and still searching for that pot of gold!!

I am getting very encouraged with the positive comments about GVO. I know the cost (after the special $1 deal) worries a lot of people, but I went in again and looked at the presentation, and theoretically, if we get 2 new sign ups per month, then it does not cost us anything as the commissions cover our cost, so anything over that is profit.
The other comment made was that if someone who signed up was not making money, if they contact the support area, they will see what they can do to help.

Holly, keep us posted with any further info you get.
    Cheers

ONE more thing for anyone who reads down here through all these comments – for anyone who does signup with me here – I will also create a website for you through your GVO account. I’ll make you a wordpress site and if needbe, design you a logo to.

Hi Tom and hi Jenna! If you have any questions on the services, just ask Jenna. And Tom, it’s no problem about the website service! I am happy to do it. How is your book going? Is this going to be an e-book only or have you thought of a paperback as well? I need details!!! :) lol…I am happy to hear from you Tom and hope you have a great day!

    Hiya Folks,

On my end, I’ve basically “built” just about everything that GVO offers “by hand,” so, converting to their system would likely take me a sizable chunk of time. It does seem like it could be a good option for someone just starting out.

    I’ll think about GVO for a bit…

Now…about “comfort zone,” I’m a bit of a different breed. I find that the “comfort zone” is where I do my best work. I have a very adventurous nature, and I tend to get out of my comfort zone almost too much! In the original post, the guy mentions friendships with the Iraqi people, and though he was somehow “physically” or “psychologically” out of his comfort zone (within his own world of assumptions), he actually made friends. And being “friends” is something that is blissful, it is happy, and it is comfortable.

Maybe I should write a book on loving life in the comfort zone! :-)

Hi there Dainis! The first thing I have to clarify, is that I am that “guy” who made the friendships with the Iraqi people! lol… And I was definitely out of my comfort zone in so many respects – being the only American working for my company, the only woman, and youngest person to work for DHL at Baghdad airport at that time. Through the scary times, the Iraqi people who I worked with became like a family to me – and I will never forget that. About you and your comfort zone – you mentioned that you thrive outside of it. I understand that to an extent only – because I am also adventurous and anyone could blindfold me and put me on the next plane and I could land and be excited and thrive in that situation. So to me, that is in my comfort zone. I think there has to be something that makes you feel a bit uncomfortable – and that would be outside your comfort zone. That’s just my opinion though!

On the topic of GVO – I think it is definitely a good option for people who need web hosting, and are in the internet marketing field. Why not have an all-in-one solution….definitely wouldn’t be necessary for you if you have programmed all the tools yourself. :)

Just an update on my account on GVO. I signed up on Monday evening. And that’s all did.

I jumped on the recommendation of someone I trust (Holly) and the fact that for $1, I had two weeks to thoroughly explore the program.

It’s now Friday morning and I just got an email that my downline was growing. I checked it out and, sure enough, there are 5 people in my downline.

That in and of it’s self doesn’t really mean a whole lot, so much depends on what and how those folk downline do. But the fact remains that, I’ve done nothing and the downline is growing.

I certainly gives me inspiration to seriously explore this service.

Timing is everything, I guess. I got Davin’s promo. in re Kiosk yesterday (and saw your name among his “downline”). So, yes, I’m signed up and am hoping for the best.

From everything I’ve read about MLM, success is really all about how well your sponsor, the person above you, supports and maybe invigorates your own efforts. So, for me, I guess I’m betting on Davin… But, dog gone it, I don’t think Davin’s going to help me with a web site…

No problem Phil. And you are right – that we all need to be a team to all profit and be successful with it. Like I mentioned in the email, I will make the site for you. :)

  29. Hey that’s great Garry. Yeah, I’ve heard from quite a few people now that are showing a downline from both Holly’s and my efforts so far.

It should be noted though, that the most benefit everyone will have in this opportunity is from directly referring people themselves. While all of us will enjoy spill over, it does become a group effort to help each other along the way since all of us a part of the same team.

Of course, many people aren’t interested in the opportunity, and will always enjoy all of the products and services. They can profit just by being in the business, and from spill over, which over time could certainly amount to a fair income.

Very shortly, Ken Hammond and Mark Call will be hosting webinars to help everybody to get the most out of not only all of the products, but, also to teach people how to make as much money as possible with the opportunity. I’m sure it will help everybody a lot. Also, each of us are all in a very good position to create a very good long term income, since we are in the business at such an early phase.

Glad to hear some spill over is coming your way!

    Hi Holly,
This posting has definitely shaken my comfort zone. I am in the processing of just finishing up your book. I feel as if I am on information overload. This opportunity sounds great, but I am new to all of this.

I have 3 children (8 3/4, 2, and 6 months) and married. So my time is limited, however, I feel the time is now. I haven’t had time to research my ideas yet.

I have gone to GVO website and watched the video, which was more information:)

So why am I writing…I guess to get myself out of my comfort zone and for some reassurance that once applying the information it will make more sense.

The youngest is demanding my attention now, and I must go. Thanks you.

    Shalom,
    Charlotte

      Hi Charlotte,
Thanks for stopping by, for reading my book and considering GVO. Since you are experiencing the information overload right now, you may want to read this: http://honestholly.com/10-ways-to-cure-information-overload-start-making-money-online/. The information overload is totally normal in the beginning – but slowly the terms and concepts of internet marketing will begin to fall into place. I think it’s like learning a new trade, or craft….and it just takes a little getting used to.

Also, please feel free to ask me any questions that you may have about GVO. I’m really devoted to helping as much as I can with the GVO signups. I think sometimes people want to work online and then read a lot of guides and don’t always move forward. This program and our involvement in it is like a collaborative push in the right direction. Like i said, I will also create a website for you if you need that. That way, all the technical work is out of the way so you can build your business and get it going. If you have questions Charlotte, please just ask!

    Hi Holly
My Book was initially to be and eBook, but a few of the family advised I do a dual like you did with Honest Riches.
I am working hard to get it completed. (It involves animals?)

My wife Cheryl and myself are sitting down this weekend to try and put together a second book. I don’t mind sharing this one here. It will be a “humurous but serious” Irish/American Cookbook. It will have a great selection of good old fashioned Irish and American recepies which we have actually cooked and tried.
It will kill all the myths about “Corned Beef & Cabbage” being a true irish dish and the explaination of how that come about! It will also include some fun and ideas about Irish/American drinks and will also include an age old Irish Flue remedy, which I firmly believe will even cure the H1N1 all the talk is about now.!!!!

Holly, I know you used lulu.com for your book. Send me a link to my email address with your affiliate link so that I can get on and start the process. You may as well benefit as well.

Exciting times ahead for us all.
Thanks to both Holly and Gavin for bringing us this great opportunity.
    Have a great weekend.
    Cheers
    Tom

    BTW Holly
Sort of sorry and glad you are making the big move from Sin City up to your family in Winconsin.

I am sorry because we are neighbors now, being the next State to you, but happy because I think you are making a really good decision to be close to family.
In this day and age, having family close is so important and especially with Josh at the age he is, he will appreciate and enjoy having family in his life.
It will also take a lot of pressure off you so you don’t have to be as concerned with him growing up in the country as against a Gambling City.

I wish you both the very best of luck and with God at your side you can only live and prosper.
It will be also nice to get a good mix of seasons for a change instead of the desert heat.

Another exciting adventure in your lives.
    God Bless you both.

Hi there Tom! I’m excited for you with your books. If you have questions about Lulu, please ask away anytime. It was very difficult (being the first time) to format the book properly to the standards and specifications with Lulu. If you get stuck with it, I will try to help. Now that I have done it once – I spent so much time with the formatting, I now understand how to do it and can assist.

Thanks for your support with us moving back to Wisconsin. I agree that it is so important to be close to family. I really hope someday in the next several years (hopefully sooner) a big group of us can meet up and have our own little marketing cruise or get together!

    Holly & Davin,

So I’ve taken a little time to explore GVO/Kiosk. The functioning and set up etc all seems fairly straight forward.

I see all the stat and account pages on the affiliate program. I may have just missed it, but I couldn’t find anything that really explains how the affiliate/ML program works.

Understanding earning potentials of the program would be good but my real curiosity is regarding the spill over that results in automatic downline for folks under you. I’m glad to get it, but I don’t really understand why there is a spill over.

Is there some sort of limit to what one can have in level one downline? Or does it have something to do with how rapidly the downline builds?

If there are links or a specific area that explains all this, I’ll go and read or listen to it myself . . . but I didn’t find it.

    GARRY

PS: Holly, if you want to and can delete all the posts about messages disappearing, that’s fine by me. They’re a bit off topic.

Hi Garry. These are great questions and I am gathering up the resources to send out to all the people who signed up. I will also crate another blog post asap to explain all of this and provide some updates. I know you have signups and a downline already, as do I. I also wanted to say that the reason there is a lack of info on this (in your kiosk area) right now is because the GVO launch hasn’t happened yet. But I will give you guys some links in my next post about the launch and the site. So, I asked Davin to clarify the payment structure to me, and he spoke directly with one of the creators of GVO. This is what he told him:

You get 5% on ANY people you get in under you, or in your downline. This adds up big time if you signup now, as this “spillover” is getting a lot of people a lot of signups (with no work). You said you had already had about 5 signups under you and you just joined. 5% of their $44 payment adds up fast. I already have enough of these “spillover” people into my downline to pay for the $44 cost. I will post more on this later….

For NEW personal referrals (people who signup directly from your affiliate link), you get 50% commission on their first month – usually $22 (half of their $44 payment, unless they go for a larger hosting plan).

The next month and every month after, you continue to get 5% on all members of your downline, other than the direct personal referrals (who you get 20% of their TOTAL EARNINGS). All of those direct referrals will have their own income and spillover and direct referrals – you get 20% of their total monthly income.

I have some websites I can refer you to – for more details on this Garry (and everyone else). I will post them shortly.

If you are already a member and have signed up – you can take a look at what the new GVO member’s area is like (it’s not officially launched until mid-september): http://www.gogvo.com/affiliates (and you login with the same username and password you use with your account now at kiosk).

Also, you can get more details about the commission structure here: http://gvoprofits.com/HollyMann

    Hi Holly
I would love to take you up on your opportunity to build a web site for me. I’ve been one of those people that has been flopping around the Internet for the past six months trying to find their “comfort zone”. My question to you is this. Other than a domain name can this web site you will design for me revolve around marketing GVO. After all it’s a great product and will be useful for all types of marketers out there in the world. However, if you would like a more common niche market as our website for us to come up with I have a few ideas there too. Let me know your opinion about which type of site would work best in this application. I am never going to turn a gift like this down from someone like you, so I will think of something that you can help me with. Thanks for all your advice. I am new to your site but it has been incredibly helpful so far. I will look foward to hearing any advise from you.
    Sincerely,
    Frances

Well I was a bit slow to sign up – factually I was slow to read the blog post due to connection problems et al. So I wound up signing up for the trial about 4 days after this post.

I am still trying to fully understand this and how it works. I am not sure that I can fit another membership into my monthly budget right now … but at the same time it seems very worthwhile. So I would like to look into it more and see if I can get it to pay for itself.

Unfortunately I really can’t watch videos. We have bandwidth limitations out here – I go to the Internet Cafe to work when I can, for the faster connection, but have not been able to fit video-watching in with that.

If there are any links to more written explanations which really give details on the services offered, the commission structure, and the features of the program, that would be great. Obviously I only promote things I have some understanding of – but its not just ethics. It helps people when you can fill them in on details, so if I promote this, I would like to have as much understanding of it myself as possible!

I am curious about the auto-responder and whether I can still use it on other sites (on Hostgator) and how it compares to aWeber. What the pros and cons are compared to aWeber. I am also very curious about the video tools, and the mention of “coaching” … what that all involves.

Maybe a lot of my questions are answered in the videos, but I can’t watch them! Oh, the lovely forest …

I’m not sure if this was available a few days ago but there is a pretty complete breakdown here:

    http://gvoprofits.com/

It has a video and a text explanation of the matrix. I am just getting into everything now over the last few hours and figuring out the best way help my downline build a downline. I WISH I would have signed up earlier. But we are all pretty much in close proxity in the matrix so hopefully we can all work together in developing a huge downline.

There’s still going to be A TON of “spillover” in the next few weeks for anyone that signs up now.

Thanks Jerry – that article does have some helpful data. I am still not fully clear on the commission structure … but getting there :)

I am very curious about the autoresponder and its features – how exactly it compares to Aweber. I was just about to set up list-building on several of my sites with Aweber, and now I am not sure if I should use GVO instead, and whether I can use it on sites that are hosted on Hostgator. I think I will be spending some more time to figure all this out over the next few days.

I just noticed that Holly had already posted about gvoprofits.com – I wish you could get the video Anna because it goes into great detail about the structure of the matrix. I have been listening to it while I have been online over the last few hours.

I think you can use the autoresponder with any domain or host but I haven’t taken a close look at it yet. I have both aweber and getresponse accounts and I can tell you unless you were grandfathered into the old pricing structure it will cost you a couple hundred dollars a month to use their services once you get over 10,000 subscribers.

But I was just checking my email and I already have enough referrals so that it will pay for itself and be self sustaining. And I really have just gotten started in the last 3 or 4 hours.

Having had some time to look over the Kiosk / GVO hosting, I have a little feed back.

The whole pending launch of GVO with it’s hybrid Affiliate/MLM compensation plan as created a lot of buzz . . . and rightfully so. My sense is that for those on the fence, don’t think it’s too late. This thing is still in prelaunch and still building steam. It’s potential seem indeed huge.

What I think is more important however is the strength of the GVO hosting package. While the $44 a month may seem steep, that’s only until you look at what is included. It’s a very good package and for serious marketers probably one of the better deals you’re going to find.

The whole longevity of the affiliate/MLM program rests on the strength of the product itself. This is what will determine how long people stick with GVO and it’s real success.

From my perspective, it looks like a great package even without considering the compensation program.

Hi folks and Holly. Just joined GVO about 10 minutes ago. I have been wasting a lot of time investigating, evaluating and procastinating. I figured if I spent a whole dollar, it would motivate me to complete my business plan and start doing the real work. I have always been leery of MLM startups, but the list of names at the top of this company (including Holly and Davin) persuaded me to ignore that specific fear. Additionally, I ran some numbers to see if this GVO product was over priced.

Without going into the boring details, the dollar breakeven occurs when your list size reaches 2500. I will post my assumptions should someone request.

I’ll see you folks (and you blokes) at the top.

OK, so since this is a “secret” launch, are we bound to any promotional constraints? Are we restricted to only sending this info to a list if we had one, or can we create a press release and tell the world that kiosk is changing to GVO? As a team, a little strategy may go a long way!

For me, I guess if I’m going to market something, I want to know that it’s a great product. The GVO site is all about making money and their MLM structure, but frankly, I don’t care about that right now: I want to know if their hosting is any good. I want to know if they are experiencing down time. I care about their webinar solution. How is their tech support? How are they as an actual host?

I use Dreamhost right now, and their tech support is pretty darn good. Sure, they have some down time, but they really seem to be on top of their game. Because I use them, know them, like them, and can honestly recommend their service, I just put together the promo code “dainis” that people can use to get $25-50 off on newly created Dreamhost accounts.

Similar situation with Wishlist Member, I like their membership website solution so much, I made a YouTube video endorsing it. Here’s the YouTube video:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8PEksEfVX8

So, for me, because a purchasing decision about hosting should really be about the quality of the hosting, I have not signed up at GVO yet. I am tempted because I do run webinars, but the video just goes on and on about their MLM, and I’m sitting here wondering about the quality of their actual hosting.

    Does that make sense?
Can you report back on how well they are doing at being a web host?

Best and hope Wisconsin is treating you well :-)

    –Dainis
