Last night on our call with Sam Clark of The Authority Site Center, Sam pointed people in the direction of a free photo editing download which is very good. This software is practically on par with Photoshop as far as it’s capabilities according to Sam, and also far, far, superior to Gimp.

I realize that many of Holly’s readers would probably love nothing more than to get their hands on Adobe Photoshop, but, I also know that it’s certainly not in the budget for many people. Fortunately, I do have Photoshop, but for those of you that don’t I hope you can use this free photo editing download to your advantage. Very good photo editing softwares are usually very expensive, so this should help many of you.

I was going to post this for my readers, but I don’t have none anymore! LOL…I’ll let Holly tell you that story as I know she has some very good advice for her readers on that as well.

This free photo editing download does have a $10 upgrade, which gives you some more features. This isn’t an affiliate link at all, I’m merely trying to guide you in some very useful tools to help you with your online business. But, at the same time, Sam Clark of The Authority Site Center knows very well what he is talking about, and if he says that even the free version is far better than Gimp, I would trust his word on it.

Cheers, and I hope you find it useful for helping you with your web site or blog projects.

Thanks! I’ve always got my eye out for good free software!

Now I’m curious to know about your (lack of) readers! I wanna know the story! I fairly certain I don’t have any readers other than my wife and one of her friends…lol. But then again…my blog’s mostly just an online journal that I write in every once in a great while.

Nah…I’ll let Holly share that with you Dustin. I know it will be very educational for a lot of people. Silly thing is, I knew better…

I use Photoshop too, but if I didn’t I think this would come in very handy! It’s very frustrating when you don’t have the tools you need and what you wish you had costs hundreds of dollars which you don’t have …

As for Davin’s readers, why don’t we all just head over to his new blog and subscribe. It’s a very professional site with excellent information for marketers. Just click on his name and see his new blog!

Thank you so much for sharing this Davin. :) I’m going to try it out.

    Anna,

I think that’s a GREAT idea! I will do that right now, and I’m going to subscribe to YOUR blog for suggesting it :-)

Incidentally, it would do me some good to subscribe to some other good online marketing blogs. I have very few in my reader right now.

Thanks for pointing out the obvious to me!

Holly - did you remove the ability to subscribe to receive the comments by email? I seem not to be getting them anymore.

I’m using linux so I can’t check it out (been Microsoft free for 8 months now)
I use Gimp most of the time, almost as easy to use as Photoshop, but more flexible with its scripting ability.

Also, ImageMagicK is amazing for dealing with large batches of photos. (like if you need to resize and watermark a whole folder) It is a little harder to use since it is all command-line, but easy enough after reading the documentation.

Hello Dustin! Thank you! I’m glad you like the idea. Please pass it on to others. :) I’m waiting for Davin to finish some things, but then I am going to post something on my blog in order to get some visitors and subscribers over his way. I guess we can start now though.

As for the subscription to Holly’s blog and comments, I’m having the same problem. I think I will try the “subscribe to all categories” first though, in her sidebar there.

I will visit your blog too Dustin! :)

For anyone who’s interested. I clicked on the link in the sidebar for “Subscribe to Comments” and now I’m picking up the comments in my reader.

Couldn’t have done it without ya, Anna!

  • annaverawilliams said:

    I’m glad it helped.

I like your picture Dustin. You know - you remind me of Jason Bourne!

LOL! Anna, I can honestly say that’s the first time someone’s said THAT!

But thanks! Now maybe I can start being involved in action-packed conspiracy! Although, I might suggest that Matt Damon might not be quite so complimented by that comment. Perhaps we should make sure he doesn’t swing by here.

Oh, come on! Look at you! Who can disagree with me? You just need to learn to VERY casually annihilate anyone who comes after you.

How funny that we’re just carrying on a conversation in Holly’s blog comments…LOL

I have to tell you that I got a good hearty laugh from that last comment! I told my wife about it and she said “I think you look NOTHING like Matt Damon. I think you’re WAY better looking that him. He’s just in better shape.”

And by the way…what makes you think I need to learn a skill that I may very well already possess? LOL

  • annaverawilliams said:

Ah yes. Good point. I guess I wouldn’t want to be a corrupt CIA agent or assassin and run into you in a dark alley.

    Hi everyone,

Sorry I haven’t been around for awhile. I was out for several weeks due to hurricanes in Louisiana. Now that we have the downed trees situation cleared up and I have Internet access again I can’t wait to try out this photo editing software. I’ve been going crazy without my internet!! It’s soooooo good to be back!!!

My other programs are giving me trouble so I hope this one is the charm. Thanks Davin for sharing this. You do make my life easier with all of your help. :)
