Excellent Clickbank Alternative

Posted by in I Recommend

I’ve recently discovered an excellent alternative for an affiliate network, rather than using the ever-popular Clickbank.com. For those who don’t know about Clickbank, basically it is a place for merchants (or vendors) to connect with affiliates (people who want to promote their products). Everything is coordinated through Clickbank’s website. Clickbank’s products are digital goods, ones that can be downloaded online and viewed instantly after purchasing. People love instant gratification, so that is great (if they are actually redirected to the download page)!

I’ve been using Clickbank to manage my affiliate program for a few years now, and I’ve had a bunch of problems recently because my customers aren’t always being redirected to the download page after purchasing. This is a big issue for me, and for my customers. They immediately lose trust in my service, when they need to contact me to receive something they should have received immediately. So that has weighed on my mind a lot in the recent months as more and more occurrences of this take place. I also do not like that Clickbank.com only sends out payments by check, rather than offering a direct deposit or some other options. So, because of this I did my research and what I found was better than anything I could have imagined.

I found Plimus.

Plimus is an affiliate network with the best service to Vendors, affiliates and buyers – the best service I have ever seen and experienced before. I signed up to be a vendor and I I also was given an option to have the Plimus staff setup my sales page for me (for my ebook that I wanted to sell). I clicked YES that I wanted them to do it, but I never imagined it would turn out so beautifully.

They did an amazing job of integrating the sales page into the exact same design of the website I wanted to sell it on. They honestly saved me 5 hours of work. So far I’ve had a few sales and several of the buyers had the wrong personal details with their credit card they were paying with. For example, a person may have had the wrong phone number listed with their card. Immediately the person was contacted by Plimus to clarify (to prevent fraud and also to alleviate the problem quickly so the potential customer could purchase right then, so I would not lose that customer). The service is unbelievable. They saved me several sales I would have lost because cards may have been declined with the wrong details for their account. They fixed them on the spot and the payment went through. That was great. I am not paying Plimus for all that extra customer support they are offering. It’s amazing, considering if you try to get ahold of a real person with Clickbank, good luck – because it’s nearly impossible. I’m not saying Clickbank is horrible, but Plimus is like a breath of fresh air. They features are amazing and options are endless.

I’ve setup an affiliate program with Plimus and you can join here. I still offer 50% commissions on all e-book sales, so if you would prefer to promote through here rather than Clickbank, please join! I’m still going to keep the clickbank affiliate program open, but my recommendation is to signup with Plimus. I also have another affiliate program, an in-house one with http://www.How2-MakeMoneyOnline.com. I’m not trying to complicate your life or anything – so join wherever you choose! But personally, Plimus is the best!!!

Other wonderful Plimus Features Include:

  1. Managed Affiliate Program
  2. Fully Marketed Store
  3. Coupon/Promotion Support (so you can offer discounts, coupon codes)
  4. Your own Newsletter (all managed through your admin area)
  5. 24/7 All Year Long Unparalleled Customer Support
  6. Dynamic Licensing Features
  7. Over a dozen languages/currencies supported
  8. Live Assistance
  9. Subscription Payments Accepted
  10. Business Analytics and Statistics Tracking, Advanced

Accept payments from credit cards, checks, EFT, wire transfer, purchase orders in 18 distinct currencies, with local taxes and fees calculated automatically. Receive payments via check, direct deposit, wire transfer, PayPal or Plimus prepaid card on the 15th of each month.

* Last thing I think is awesome – you can receive a free Plimus prepaid card. It is topped up with whatever you make in profits (paid monthly). This is a big deal for people who live in countries where it’s hard to get a visa card. There are so many options for payments here it is wonderful. *

Hmmm, very interesting Holly. I’d heard of Plimus but didn’t really know very much about them at all. They certainly do sound like a breath of fresh air.

It sounds like they should be able to clear up some of the problems people have been having with the download. Yay!

I imagine with that there will be less queries in the forum to of the question.

    “Where’s my download?”

    Take care Holly,

    Always enjoy reading,

Plimus is the best e-commerce accessible to everyone worldwide.
But they need to do a lot of marketings to get more vendors.
    specially us vendors.

They can for example contact the best us web hosting companies.

hostmonster, mochahost, hostpapa, bluehost, godaddy, …etc

to let them sale their web hosting service in the plimus merchant store.

    Holly,

Thanks for the info. I’ve been using clickbank for a long time and find that it is just becoming way too competitive. Additionally, I also think the search is less than effective.

Often times I’ve searched for products that don’t show up on the search results only to find out from an affiliate later on that the product is in fact listed. Based on your advice, I’m going to give Plimus a try and promise to report back.

    Thanks,
    Michael

Well their customer support was great but isn’t it because they are still new and since there are few vendors, it is easy to manage them well one at a time for the meantime. What if they suddenly grow? I’ve seen online businesses suddenly grow where customer support turned from the best to worst because they can’t manage them well anymore due to large userbase.

This whole thread and webpage has got to be a setup by Plimus. I have used them for a year and know of so many bugs and issue I could go crazy. I have not changed vendors yet because it is such a hassle. I have sold over $30,000 of software and spend a ton of time supporting my customers who have trouble with the download link emails etc. Not to mention my own problems with their website. I am going to take take a look at Clickbank. . I have never heard of them but if this is a Plimus setup, I imagine Clickbank could eat PLimu’s lunch!

Hi Brent – sorry to hear about your problems with Plimus. Honestly – this site is NOT setup by Plimus and I do not work for them or anything like that. I use both Plimus (as my affiliate program and payment processor here) and Clickbank on my other site here: http://www.honestriches.com. and when comparing my experiences with both of them (I’ve used Plimus for several years and Clickbank for 5 years) I have had better experiences with Plimus. The fees with clickbank are very high and the buyers are so used to getting refunds – it is so easy for them to do so and most buyers know this. …that I have virtually no refunds through Plimus and many through clickbank. I have had issues with download problems with clickbank, but not plimus. You can setup your account in a way that the user can create a login so they can access their product if they missed the download the first time (through plimus). I think Plimus is more difficult to setup (the secure sales page and stuff) but overall I prefer it to clickbank.

Hey! What happened to my post that explained the truth about Plimus? Is this a nothing but an ad for Plimus?

Hey Brent – your other post didn’t show up right away because the comments are moderated for the first time a user comments. If the first comment is approved by me, then all subsequent comments are auto-approved. You seem pretty angry – I am not fake holly – this is a real site and I wrote the post about plimus truthfully, with my personal experiences. If you don’t like it, maybe you should switch. But for me, using both plimus and clickbank – I personally prefer plimus.

    Hi Holly,

I’m the Community Manager for ClickBank, and just wanted to clear up one little mistake in the article. ClickBank does offer direct deposit (in 17 different countries), and we can do direct deposit payments as often as once a week, compared to once a month for most other affiliate networks.

Sorry to hear about the download trouble- please feel free to contact me via the email address I provided, and I’ll be happy to have our tech team take a look and try to help fix that for you!

    Hey Beau,
For the fact that Clickbank exclude so many countries from selling and even buying! There is need for a good alternative to the clickbank way of doing things.

It would have been better if Clickbank uses wire transfer for these countries where they do not want to accept credit cards. Well bye-bye (good riddance) to clickbank.

I don’t like click bank and don’t think they are suitable for newbies as if you make money with them and do not have $100 you cannot draw it out. But then after a while they start to charge you for it. This is in their terms, however I do not consider this to be ethical, just becuas ethey can doesnt mean they should. They could just pay you and offer a chance to close your account. Further more when I complained they said they would do this – they didn’t they just took the remaining money from me. So all my work was in vein. Now I am more experienced I do not want to use them even though i would now make money. also the comment about them paying directly, this was never shown or offered to me.

I’m selling small software using plimus as my only marketing channel, the best part with plimus (and their advantage) is the no sales – no pay (for vendors) no product setup fee or things like that (as clickbank do)

But IS Clickbank for the newbies now? They have introduced a ruling where you must nave a minimal (5) different credit card (VISA and Mastecard ONLY) to get paid. They don’t include Paypal in their calculations, and I know a lot of newbies do not have commercial credit card acceptance, due to costs, but rely on Paypal to help build their business.
For instance, even if you made 100 affiliate sales, and they were all paid by VISA or Paypal, YOU WOULD NOT GET PAID! Worse still, they actually start deducting money.
Does Plimus have a similar ruling?
    NEWBIE BEWARE
    Cheers

You people should read the policies and guidelines first before registering to a site. Obviously Holy, you did not read the accounting policy of Clickbank that is why you did not know that you can apply for Direct Deposit after you get paid with two checks.

@Fay, the default threshold is $100 and if you cannot make $100, Clickbank holds it until then. Are you stupid? Maybe you are Chinese. Their policy also states that you can close your account, moron. It is good to know that your work got stuck in your vein!

Paolo, my name is Holly – not Holy. :) When I originally posted this, there was no direct deposit option. There is now. This post has been up for quite a long time now. Thanks for pointing it out though. And I don’t think Fay is stupid. I think you are rude.

      @Paolo
Whats the deal here? Whats up with the racist remarks?
I know of Chinese friends with 5 Master Degrees in an internationally recognized University. Chinese are stupid you say?
Who invented paper? – A Chinese
Who invented compass? – Chinese too
Who invented Gunpowder? – A Chinese again..

And mind you, there are Chinese who are rich enough to buy your entire life 10 times over.

Now before you go on categorizing an entire race as Stupid, probably you should stop and think if YOU are the one being stupid….and rude.

@Holly, Sorry about this, but racist remarks just irks me. Anyway, thanks a lot for sharing about Plimus! Have you tried PayDotCom? I’m looking for reviews on that.. :)

Found this site via search phrase “alternative to Clickbank”. I’ll be the newbie. Software is fine….But it seems a little odd how folks can make so much through this venue.
That is, demand. If folks are really cashing in here it means quite a lot of other people are buying Information where they could likely find free elsewhere.
I’d rather sell my music and did find that Amazon’s partners cater to this. Which god or demon should I contact to sell one song a million times!?
Judging from the pic and claim, Holly may have some Libran energies.
