I started learning about Internet Marketing and working from home when I was pregnant with my son (who is now 4-years-old) – and struggling to survive and pay the bills as a sin
gle mother and veteran of the U.S. Army. After being Honorably discharged from the Army in 2003 due to medical issues after having foot surgery, I worked in Baghdad, Iraq as a civilian contractor. I then lived in northern Thailand where I met my son’s father. Due to cultural and personal reasons, we went our separate ways and my son was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Out of a desperate desire to provide a future for my son and myself, I started to become interested in working online. My interest was initially sparked through eBay, as I saw that someone sold a mortgage-related website for $5000. The website looked simple to make, as I had a little experience with web design from my time in the Army, so I decided to sell websites on eBay. The income began to trickle in and grow – until someone else copied what I did, and lowered their prices so much that neither of us could continue making much money selling the mortgage and loan-related websites. It got to the point where I was not making any more money from it, and then I started learning about Affiliate Marketing.
When my son was 4 1/2 months old, I made a choice to sell all of our meager belongings and move to Thailand, where I figured I could live affordably while starting my online business, and providing for my son. I didn’t want to put him in a daycare facility in the states and work a normal job. To everyone’s surprise, I bought two one-way tickets to Thailand and we moved there and started a new life. I began to dive into working online so excessively that I hardly slept, while caring for my cranky baby and copying the techniques that I saw working for the wealthy marketing gurus. It paid off!
By the fourth month of my relentless learning and applying – I made my first check of $12,000 USD and I have never looked back since!
After finding success and methods that made me money, and feeling the excitement of such financial freedom when I had struggled to save money and feared for our futures – I wrote a short report which shared exactly how I did it. It initially sold for close to $10 USD. This little report ended up selling copy after copy – and as marketing changed over the years, I continued to update it and offer the updated versions for free to previous buyers. Now in 2009 – the book – Honest Riches – is the most comprehensive, step-by-step blueprint to making money online and encompasses every possible tactic and technique needed to make money online. The book is Honest Riches. It’s now 245 pages long, with 10 mini-books in one, full graphic tutorials and provides you every tool you need to succeed making money online. My son and I have been blessed by the opportunities provided to us by working online – and we’ve had the opportunities to travel the world. Over the past few years, we traveled to: Thailand, Malta, France, Ukraine, Russia, Bahrain and Cabo San Lucas. I hope that you too can experience this freedom – and with the right tools and right motivation you can do the same. My son and I currently live in Las Vegas, Nevada but are originally from Wisconsin and hope to settle back there in the near future.
On a personal note, I am a Christian and I love God. I appreciate each day I have on this Earth as I’ve gone through a lot in being in the Army, in working in Iraq and in taking care of my son. I feel grateful to be here and enjoy spending time with family, going horseback riding, photography, writing, leather tooling, watching movies, reading a good book and of course – traveling!
