7 New Modern Wordpress Themes You Haven’t Seen
Posted on 26. Aug, 2009 by Holly in Free, Free Website Themes, Wordpress
Well, you may have seen them before – but they are very new and I personally haven’t seen any other websites using these themes yet. When you use Wordpress, you tend to notice the similarities and differences in the themes being used by others.
These 7 Wordpress themes are impressive because they are modern, clean, extremely professional and social-network compatible. Oh yes, and also Free! I hope you enjoy them! I am using one of them on my new website. I built it with my new web hosting company, GVO. Also, another bonus is that within your theme files you download, they also give you an editable logo file (.psd) so you can create your own professional, custom logo. Each theme comes with settings you can manage through your Wordpress admin area, to specify what ads you want to run on the sidebar, the location of your logo and several other settings. Thank you to the New Wordpress Themes website for such a great collection of free themes.

Hey Holly,
Thanks for these. I love collecting themes but have not looked for new ones in quite some time. The Best Now theme will work nicely with a new niche I’m working on.
Thanks again
Holly

I have at least 2o other themes on my hard drive and have tried several that became unstable or didn’t suit my needs. Most of the others just did not have the esthetics I prefer. With many available via the Word Press dashboard or via Thesis or Expert Word Press here you find 7 themes that are not only free but good looking and functional for the newbie as well as the pro.I am going to save these in my special folder for the next blogs ,in different niches, that I am formulating in my little brain.True ,there are a few nicer looking ones but a nice header does not a blog make.
PS:.
I joined Sphinn but I find their rules a little intimitating for less experienced writers.A new post perhaps, about it.
What about the Google Knol? I haven’t written a 3000+ word article in years.

Since I’ve switched to Thesis I haven’t used a free theme.
In the past when using free themes I always ran into trouble with coding and support. That’s just not a issue with Thesis and it is wicked customizable.
Either way thanks for sharing the resource I’ll be sure to bookmark it.

Thanks Cary. I have heard of thesis and checked into it a while back. I’ve also bought several themes from Woo Themes that I really liked. But, of all the free themes, I like these ones I found today the best!

Nice looking themes!
I haven’t download the themes yet but alot of Free Themes out there now encrypt the footer file (basecode)
I don’t mind linking back to the theme authors but linking to “payday loans” or “suv cars” is not ideal for me, at least.

Hi Holly
Just one thing. I really like the Freshie template and have installed it on one of my blogs but it will not let me make any changes in the options page it says this every time I try “Are you sure you want to do this?
Please try again.”
Do you or any of your readers maybe know why it is doing this?
Many Thanks

These are great-looking themes indeed – many are a bit too cluttered or busy for my taste, but these are both functional and well-organized. Thanks!

Hi Holly,
Very nice website. I am building one right now and was just looking around for some “functional” ideas. By the way I grew up on Lake Koskonong in WI. Its near Janesville. I just moved to IL 3 years ago. You picked a wonderfull place to raise your child. I have three and they wouldnt think of moving.
Best of Luck,
Michael

Beautiful themes that I just wish were piad for themes as the footer links are quite undesirable. Currently working on getting some made like these as they are just so beautiful.
A great share Holly.

Hi Holly,
I just uploaded the “Best Now” wordpress theme and it looks great. I ran the TAC plugin that’s an authenticity checker, and it found 7 lines of encrypted code which I’m pasting at the end.
Can you tell me what this encrypted code is about?
thanks,
bob

Hi Bob – I recently discovered what that encrypted code was. The theme developers want you to leave it in place and the encryption prevents people from being able to delete it. The encrypted code is actually several links to their sites (in your website’s footer when you use their theme) – to increase their SEO efforts and page rank. I just noticed this recently and It turned me off from using the theme honestly. I am on a new search for even more themes now. I will post some soon.
